Session 68 - Singing genies

Day 91, Midsummer festival continued

The party entered the next cavern, prepared for a fight, and were greeted by a singing earth genie.  The genie requested they travel to the level below and take the phylactery of the lich, in return for a reward of magical items.  The party accepted the quest, then continued exploring the level.

After destroying a few gas spores, the party encoutnered a mud mephit, who led them to a water genie.

The water genie likewise reqested they complete the same quest, which the group agreed to, deciding to support the water genie rather than the earth genie.

On the way to the passage to the next level, 12 Orogs were defeated.

The party decended, and Mumble disarmed a powerful magival trap.

A large stone golem made of chunks of Halaster statues was defeated.  The party located the suspected home of the lich, in a large stalagmite topped with a shining crystal, and on opening the door, were attacked by two vampires.
