Session 35 - Death of a mind flayer
Day 56, 26 Kython continued.
The party discovered some magic buttons on a wall in the beholder's trophy room. On pressing one, a green ray shot out, and was narrowly dodged. The party decided not to risk pressing the other button, or being hit by the ray, and continued exploring.
They defeated a beholder zombie accompanies by gas spores with an uncanny resemblence to a beholder. When Horatio's fireball exploded, he had the misfortune to inhale some spores released by the explosion.
After some further exploration, the party found kuotoa and a room with a drow strapped to a table
They attacked, and found the intellect devourer spawning pool and a mind flayer. The mind flayer was quickly overwhelmed, the intellect devourer's defeated, and the pool defiled.
The party decided to retreat before Xanathar returned.
