Session 21 - A tankard of green slime
Day 43, 13 Kython continued.
The party headed off to find Nadia the Unbent. On the way, they defeated two rust monsters.
The group encountered an area of the level taken over by spiders, who were eliminated without much difficulty. On the corpse of a halfling, they found a magic ring, identified as a ring of swimming.
After a short rest, they travelled around and encountered a beholder zombie. After it was rapidly despatched, a group of bugbear and human minions were defeated, as well as a barbarian - confirmed as Nadia. The party gave Nadia’s head to Rizzeryl, and received a stone key in return, with a dwarven inscription stating “Meet me on the Lost Level. Find my twin in Slitherswamp.” Rizzeryl explained that Levels 6 and 8 of Undermountain are the Lost Level and Slitherswamp respectively.
The party continued exploring, and defeated two animated ballistae firing bolts of fire. Mumble’s pet rat was turned to ash in the process.
The party explored a brewery area. Mumble’s arm was partially dissolved by a green slime after he attempted to fill a copper mug with ale, and the party decided to return to Trollskull manor and rest.
Day 44, 14 Kython continued
The party returned to undermountain, and continued exploring the brewing area.
In a large vat, Meera discovered another zombie beholder, which inflicted a nasty wound by almost disintegrating Meera.
At the end of trapped passageway, a secret room containing a number of barrels was discovered. Also lurking in the room were 4 mimics, which were defeated without too much difficulty.
