Session 16 - the Two-headed King
Day 39, 9 Kythorn, continued (mid-morning)
The party continued exploring the level, and found a damaged arched portal, which Meera walked through, to no effect.
After finding a tiefling corpse, Mumble placed the withered heart they had found earlier into the chest cavity, and the cadaver animated. After a discussion, they decided to allow the creature to accompany them. It claimed its name was Raith.
The exploration was interrupted by a gelatinous cube.
Further exploration revealed a small force of goblins and bugbears that were eliminated.Further exploration revealed a small force of goblins and bugbears that were eliminated.
When Meera touched a strange obelisk, a voice spoke in her head, mentioning a two headed king.
The party then found a room with a strange map of the complex, and some buttons which when pressed caused a voice to speak. At the bottom of a pit in the same room was a revenant - a cleric murdered by his party seeking revenge. The party let the revenant, Halleth, accompany them.
Following a secret tunnel, the party emerged into a part of the complex where a relatively large battle ensued, with the party ultimately being victorious, against bugbears, goblins, ettins and an intellect devourer.
After a short rest, and some further exploration, a mimic attacked Casey and was defeated.
